3.14 How the phone ROM is allocated?
Your phone's ROM space is 8 GB. Table 3-1 lists the ROM partitions. The partitions may vary
depending on phone software version.
Table 3-1 Partitions of the flash memory (ROM)
Boot data
and OS
backup
partition
This partition stores the boot data OS
backup data.
The data in this partition is used when
you restore the phone to its factory
settings.
Partition for
OTA
upgrades
This partition is reserved for OTA
upgrades and is used to store upgrade
and patch files pushed by the device
provider and the operator.
This partition is used for the Android
OS.
Partition for
internal
storage
This partition is used when you do not
insert a microSD card and are using
applications that the Android OS
requires to run on an SD card, for
example, camera, Bluetooth, and sync
with computers. With this partition, you
can use all functions provided on the
Android without an additional SD card.
Can be
queried under
Settings >
Storage >
Internal
storage.
This partition is used when the OS or
applications are running. This partition
also stores application files for
applications installed by users.
Can be
queried using
a third-party
application.
Partition for
other
storage
This partition provides storage for the
file partition table, bad block table
(BBT), and storage lost caused by
formatting.
3.15 How do I check the available space in my phone
storage and the microSD card?
Touch Settings > Storage to view the storage details.
